I made this sting quite a while ago for The Script and it was used this evening as part of the start of their UK Tour. (see https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153004807480399 )

It started off as a photo taken in San Diego (see below) in the USA on their 2014 tour with One Republic.

The next step was to split it into layers and clone in the blank areas. After this I imported the layers into an Apple Motion document as seen below. I used a virtual camera that puts the layers in a 3D space and then slowly moved it and the layers of Danny and Mark to create the effect. I had to split glen in two (painless I promise) and rotate his top half slightly to give the illusion of his arms moving little.

The last step was to import it all into Final Cut X and add the necessary text and sound effects.
